06/23/2018 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Garrett is a strong built 1B/3B prospect who has a balanced game. In the field, Garrett plays with fluid footwork and agile actions creating the proper angles to cover good ground. He fields the ball in a low position with firm hands. Garrett has a clean exchange leading into a short, loose arm action. He plays through the baseball with momentum towards his target showing strong, accurate throws. As a right-handed hitter, Garrett has a square, athletic stance with a centered balance and firm front side. He has fluid rhythm with a good load and on-time stride. He has an upward swing path and is developing bat speed. Garrett has the ability to drive the ball to each gap with power. Overall, Garrett is a well-rounded prospect who has the right approach on both sides of the ball.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
