Garrett brings a tall, lean, athletic frame to the diamond. In the OF he shows a live loose arm, has good extension, plays through grounder, and takes nice routes to the fly ball. On the mound Garrett shows nice extension out front, a good follow through, and a smooth delivery. This tall pitcher would become an even better pitcher by avoiding the dropping of head, gaining more control of curve ball, and not telegraphing his change up. At the plate Pierce shows a good load to get launched and throws his hips for more power. He would benefit by shortening up stance, staying back more, and staying inside the ball more to utilize the whole field. This young man shows lots of potential!
