01/15/2010 - Vero Beach Spring Training & Competition - 2010 Warrington showed the makings of a good bat path at the plate, and flashed some bat speed at times. Needs to work on letting the ball get deeper into the hitting zone, so that he can accelerate the barrel through contact - tended to reach out front, leaving on his arms and hands to generate speed and life in his swing. A deeper contact point will help shorten his stroke, and will help him hit the ball up the middle and the other way. Defensively, he improved his overall footwork. Still has room to develop his routes and angles more, but mainly needs to improve his overall quickness and speed. Arm strength is another area for development, is a young player with time to build arm strength through a long toss program. Ran 8.5 in the 60-yard dash, a little off the 8.33 we saw from him before.
