Official Scouting Report

  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

03/24/2017 - College PREP - Dubai, UAE Geordan is grooming into a solid ball player that has strength and coordination in all he does. Defensively, he presented the glove well in front, and threw with strength across the diamond. His hands work very well and as he continues working through plays with fluidity and clean footwork, will boost glove to glove pop times. At the plate, he has a good load and shows good rhythm to hit. He is short with his path, generating solid contact. On the hill, he throws a FB with sink, and a CH. He is repeatable with his mechanics and has a good idea of how to pitch with good mound presence. Overall - Geordan is showing an upward trend of growth and with continued work, will be a sure prospect in due time.

03/25/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Dubai, UAE Geordan is a young RHP who fires from a 3/4 arms slot. He works to a controlled balance point, keeps his eyes on the target and repeats his delivery well. FB ranges from 56-59 mph as he gets on the side of the pitch. He works to finish on his follow through in an athletic fielding position. Working to get more glove-side lead/tuck while allowing his arm to work loosely & more fluidly will help to takes his skills on the mound to the next level. As a hitter - Geordan shows a square setup with rhythm to load. He takes an aggressive hack and likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 as he has pop to his pull-side. Swinging on a shorter/more direct path with increased bat speed will result in increased power. Geordan is a coachable player who still has a ton of time to develop his skills and physically mature.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
