Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 2B/RHPPosition Projection

02/09/2020 - National Tryout Plus - Douglasville (Atlanta), GA Geremiah showed hitting upgrades to 42 and 38, and a spike in exit velocity to 67 MPH during his last workout. He is a strong hitter with good aggressiveness, and explosive bat speed. He has good balance, a rhythmic swing, and he makes hard/consistent contact. At 2nd base, Geremiah has playable hands and feet, and he fields in a square position. He fields the ball cleanly, follows his throws, and delivers the ball with accuracy to his target. On the mound, Geremiah works in good tempo, he separates his hands on time, and lands with a proper length stride toward the plate. He has a clean arm circle and he competes in the zone with his pitches.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory's Fall Classic Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Geremiah is a lean, athletic 2B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach, flashing gap-to-gap pop. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 59-60 mph with sinking action. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 4 years to further develop, Geremiah has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
