07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Gianni is a LHH OF/LHP prospect who recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at the JRTC. He improved his 40 and 60 yard dash times, running the latter in 7.5 seconds. In the OF, he gets in an athletic position pre-pitch and shows off efficient feet and smooth movements. He takes good angles to the baseball and finishes plays with solid range. He recorded a raw velo of 73 MPH, improving on his previous marks. At the plate, he starts in a tall, closed stance and has high, comfortable hands with an activated load. He has a controlled rhythm in the box and works through the baseball with his lower half. He shows off good barrel control and a smooth swing, rotating his core through contact and doing well to stay on time. He reached base in 5 of 7 plate appearances in game action, with a double, single, two walks and a reached on error. He also impressed on the base paths and showed off a great attitude while being a great teammate. On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 slot with a two-pitch mix. He has a confident setup and keeps his glove centered when coming set. He gets on-time separation and shows off a loose, clean arm action. He gets good extension with his frontside. He reached a max velo of 68 MPH with his FB and showed some run with the pitch. His breaking ball shows gradual break and he sat 54-56 with the pitch. He gave up one hit in two innings of game action, getting a bunch of soft contact in the process. Overall, we are excited to see more of Gianni as he continues to develop his baseball skills!
