08/30/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Cooperstown, NY Gianni is an exciting left-handed hitting multi-positional prospect who really impressed scouts at the All-Ripken games in Cooperstown. Offensively, he showcased excellent bat speed, impressive bat-to-ball skills, and significant extra-base power, hitting multiple home runs and proving to be a strong run producer. On the mound, Gianni’s fastball sat in the 58-61 mph range, featuring late-life movement that made it challenging for hitters to make solid contact. His mechanics were characterized by a balanced delivery, good coordination, and a touch of deception, which helped mask the spin of the ball. He demonstrated a confident presence on the mound, competing fiercely throughout the game. Overall, Gianni’s skill set makes him a promising prospect with a lot of potential.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
