Official Scouting Report

  • OF/1BPosition Projection

02/19/2023 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR ORGlen is a 2024 OF/1B prospect with an athletic frame at 6'4" 205 lbs. In the OF, Glen displays quick, fluid feet and gets himself into an athletic fielding position. He takes quality routes tracking fly balls and exhibits firm hands when fielding his position. His exchange is quick and he has a long arm action that makes accurate throws to his targets. His drop step and pre-pitch movements are much improved. At 1B, he does a good job of getting into an athletic, low fielding position on ground balls. His pre-pitch movements put him in a position to succeed, and he has great bag awareness. His backhand was impressive and he displayed soft hands. Works to attack ground balls out in front. At the plate, Glen has an athletic setup pre-pitch. His power is easily apparent, and he recorded a top exit velo of 94 MPH. His lower half is impressive, and he displays fast bat speed. Works to have a more compact swing and let the ball travel, but can really drive the baseball to all fields.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Glen is a 2024 1b/OF prospect who has a lean projectable frame and power. Offensively, he has bat speed with impact at the plate that gets up to the low 90 MPH range consistently and has shown power to his pull side consistently and is emerging to the middle of the field and opposite field. He shows a feel for finding the barrel consistently and with some tweaks to his lower half in his swing will be an impact hitter at the next level who can profile in the middle of a college order. Defensively, he has good hands at 1b and with a tall, long frame that presents a good target for infielders and has feel around the base with an ability to dig the baseball out of the dirt. There is enough athleticism that he could possibly make a move to LF and his bat will play there. Overall, he has an offensive profile with some defensive versatility and can be an impactful bat at next level.

03/07/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lawrenceville (Atlanta), GA Glen is a 2024 1B/RHP. Tall frame athletic build with long levers with plenty of room to fill out as he develops. Primary first baseman who does a good job of keeping balls in front of him. Glove works well scooping balls at 1st. Big target who showed good bag awareness. Clean transfers and online throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Secondary right-handed pitcher starts with a high leg kick that allows him to stay tall on backside. Works down the mound with great tempo and rhythm. Ability to throw FB for strikes consistently. Glen mixes in a 10/4 shaped curveball with some bite as it crosses the strike zone. Developing changeup with some tailing action. Right-handed hitter uses an upright and open stance. Quiet head/eyes allow him to track balls well. Quickness to hands with fast barrel and a bat exit velocity of 84mph. Rotates well with a level swing that generates hard contact pull side. 4 years of continued growth and development will bode well for his career at the next level.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 [HOTEL] Glen is a tall 1B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Christmas Camp & Tournament. In the field, Glen makes the routine plays and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Glen field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance with comfortable hands. He is controlled getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He rotates his core through the zone and gets good extension through the ball, driving the ball to his pull side. Glen can barrel up more baseballs by taking a square stride toward the pitcher. On the mound, Glen gathers over the rubber and works with a clean arm. He says inline toward the plate and finishes with a controlled landing. Extending through is release can help Glen improve his pitch command. Overall, Glen is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
