11/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plano (DFW), TX Graham is a C prospect who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame athletic build with strength present. Behind the dish, showed fluid footwork, with flexible hips, and tracks ball to mitt. Sets up in a low secondary position, with an easy sway, working his thumb under and keeping balls in the zone. Creates good blocking angles, while covering the 5-hole, and uses his chest to keep balls in front. He gains ground to second base, with a clean transfer, and creates momentum to his target. Made accurate throws from an over-the-top arm slot, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 87mph with a best pop time of 2.01 seconds. At the plate, he hits from a tall and open stance. Starts with a short step and activated hands. He hits into a firm front side and is centered at contact. Has a good bat angle at contact with a fast barrel through the hitting zone. Hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 92mph. As he continues to develop and mature, we foresee Graham having a bright future on the baseball field.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Graham is a lean athletic LH hitting catcher with an intriguing skill set. Offensively, he has an explosive swing which gets exit velocity in the low 90 mph range with room to keep adding as his frame fills out. A smooth load and move into the baseball once his foot gets in the ground there is bat speed from an efficient use of his lower half and he is able to get the bat in the zone early and stay through the baseball. The current approach works the middle of the field with doubles power and HR power to the pull side. As he adds strength and increases his leverage there is middle of the field HR potential. Defensively, the athleticism in his frame combined with an above average arm strength makes him a weapon against the run game with sub 2.0 pop times consistently in game and his 89 MPH raw arm strength will increase and take those times lower. He has strong wrists and mobility in his lower half to work under the low pitch and move the baseball to present within the zone on borderline pitches. He is comfortable within the 2 knee and 1 knee stance for receiving. Overall Graham is an athletic catch and throw backstop who has the added bonus of LH offensive potential a very desirable combination of skills to be evaluated.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy- Session 1 (HS) Graham continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with firm glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.01 with accuracy / carry (89 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, hitting / power potential are now outstanding through an open setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and has great knowledge of the game. He works hard on the field with a lot of energy.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
