Exclusive College Recruiting Program Grant is 2023 OF prospect with a smooth LH swing that will be a weapon at the college level. In the box Grant stands out with an advanced hitting approach where he shows bat speed with exit velocities upper 80 MPH range and peaking above 90 MPH with a feel for his barrel that provides consistent hard contact. He has the ability to use the whole field and handle velocity, off-speed and left-handed pitching. He has present power to the pull side off the field and can go backside with authority. With arm strength in the upper 80 MPH range and accuracy with solid athleticism he can play on both OF corners and there is potential for him to handle 1b at the college level where his bat will play. Overall, a strong 2023 offensive prospect from the very valuable LH hitting side with defensively versatility and room to continue to improve his overall game at the college level.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Grant is a class of 2023 2B/OF out of Yucaipa, CA. He shows off his best skillset covering ground in the outfield. He does a good job keeping his feet active and getting good reads off the bat to help extend his range. Does a good job of playing beneath the baseball and fielding from an athletic position. Creates momentum to throw and throws are on a line into the infield. In the infield, he shows good footwork and the ability to create angles for himself laterally. He continues to show good feet as he works downhill through the baseball. At the plate, this left-handed hitter hits from an athletic stance. He does a good job using his legs and staying in his lower ½ to drive the baseball. Shows a good approach that is focused on the middle of the field and is willing to hit the ball to all parts of the field. Grant is a good player that will have success as he continues to grow and develop through his high school years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
