01/28/2024 - National Showcase - Delray Beach, FL Grayson is a 1B/LHP prospect who will graduate high school in 2029. He works to center the baseball and keeps the ball in front on him. Shows ability to make routine plays. Made throws to all bases from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 72mph. A left-handed hitter he starts with a tall and square stance. Has a good setup with smooth rhythm to swing. During his round of BP, Grayson hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 67mph. On the mound he works exclusively from the stretch. Has long levers and a projectable frame. Gets to a good balance point and works downhill. He challenges hitters with a FB that sits 62-68mph, a 2/8 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup. CB was best pitch during his bullpen session. With continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect improving in all facets of his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
