08/08/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Cleveland, OH Grayson is an athletic shortstop who made a strong impression as a top prospect at the All Ripken Games. He moves with smooth, fluid actions, using his active feet to get behind the ball and maintain momentum toward his target. His glove work is clean and well-presented out front, and he effectively utilizes his foot quickness to cover significant ground. While his throws are accurate, enhancing his arm strength through a long toss program will further improve his defensive capabilities. At the plate, Grayson demonstrates a squared setup, quick hands, and a level swing path, effectively using all fields. With time and dedication, Grayson has substantial potential to continue developing his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
