Haden continues to demonstrate a bright future with notable improvements in his baseball skills. His foot speed has advanced, recording his best 60-yard dash time to date. At shortstop, he shows clean, smooth actions, with active feet and proper footwork that help him square up ground balls and play through them with his body. His glove work is soft and presents well out front, and he moves well laterally, creating good angles to field the ball. At the plate, Haden continues to excel as a switch hitter, displaying similar abilities from both sides of the plate, though he projects slightly better as a right-handed hitter. His quick hands work through a level swing path, staying inside the ball and using all fields with a line-drive approach. As he learns to engage his lower half more effectively, his pow-er will increase. On the mound, his arm strength has im-proved, reaching his highest velocity to date at 70 mph. His fastball sits in the 68-70 mph range, complemented by a breaking ball with a 10/4 shape and late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, which features arm-side run, and his cutter shows tight spin with short break. Haden’s stock on the mound will rise further as he continues to build arm strength through a long toss pro-gram.
06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS)
Haden is a 2029 SS/RHP prospect that recently showed his skills at the All-State Tournament in Mississippi. In the field, he doesn't waste any movements. He gets in an athletic ready position and shows off quick, efficient feet. He has range to all angles and gets a good first step. He gets in a low fielding position and gains ground when fielding the ball out in front with soft hands. He has a clean exchange and he gets rid of the ball quickly with a quick arm action from a high 3/4 slot. He recorded a raw velo of 66 MPH. At the plate, he shows off athletic movements and a short swing. His rhythm is controlled and his lower half does well to work through the baseball. His swing is on-plane and he exhibits good barrel control. He is a contact hitter than can hit the ball to all fields. He recorded a max exit velo of 60 MPH from both sides of the plate. He is a solid teammate that reached base once in six plate appearances in game action. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and features a 4-pitch mix. His FB reached a max velo of 58 MPH. He has an easily repeatable delivery and gets good, on-time separation. His arm action is clean and he gets good extension while keeping his eyes to the target. He worked the zone, pitching to soft contact in his 3 innings of game action. He allowed 3 hits and 0 runs, doing a good job of holding runners and pitching ahead in the count. Excited to see more of Haden as he continues to develop his baseball abilities!

At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 58 mph. Fastball showed a range of 57-58 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

Haden had a great event at the Cape Cod event and continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his best velocity to date at 56 mph. Fastball showed a range of 54-56 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape displays with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength and developing off speed pitches will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he works hard and is very coachable.

Haden is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2029. In the field, Haden fields the ball out in front of his body and has a quick exchange. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Haden field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid to load and works through a short swing, producing solid line drives. Haden can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Haden gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Haden operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 52mph. Curveball sits from 42-43mph with 11-5 break. Screwball sits from 44-45mph. Finishing with his chest over his front knee can help Haden improve his pitch command. With eight more years to develop, Haden has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
