12/28/2022 - National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Harrison continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.10 runner. At SS, defensive abilities are now outstanding as he shows smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft and presents out front. He utilizes his foot speed well in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. At the plate, power potential is now well above average through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap power. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight from backside into a firm front side. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 83 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches.

09/28/2022 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2023) Harrison is a 2023 RHP/1B ou of Barrington, RI who showcased his ability at the Arizona Fall Classic. At 1B, he works to center the baseball with ability to make routine plays. He fields with his hands out front with a clean exchange. Made accurate throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 84mph. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance with comfortable hands. He showed a simple/repeatable swing with good barrel control. Showed ability to hit pitches where they are pitched and is centered at contact. Sprayed balls to all fields. At the event, he showed good plate discipline as he drew 3 base on balls and had a single. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch. Has a loose/clean arm stroke and pitches to contact. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 80mph with arm side run, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup with arm side run. In 3 innings of work, he only allowed 1 hit and punched out 1 hitter. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Harrison as he enters his senior season.

07/31/2022 - All-In Membership - Burlington, VT Harrison is a tall RHP/SS prospect who will graduate in 2023. On the mound, Harrison gathers over the rubber and works with a clean arm. He stays inline toward the plate and extends through his release, finishing square to his target. Harrison operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 68-69mph with sudden 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 72-74mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Harrison shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is clean, making on-line throws with carry across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, driving the ball from gap to gap. Overall, Harrison is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
