Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Harrison continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. A strong/projectable/versatile (6'2"/175) 2-way player shines in a variety of ways. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with zip across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting/power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach, flashing gap to gap pop. On the mound, this righty has a 2 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. Fastball shows a range of 78-80 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late/sharp break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches, working both sides of the plate. Only a 2022 grad - Golden has a ton of upside and will find success in this his junior season.

08/10/2020 - All-In Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Harrison is an athletic/tall/strong (6'2"/175) 2-way player as a 3B/RHP. Defensively, he has active prep and works lightly on the balls of his feet into an athletic fielding position. He gathers well with a clean transfer to throw. He has the ability to make the play on the run and throw accurately from multiple arm angles. With the bat, this righty shows a tall/open stance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick whipping the barrel with speed as he engages his lower 1/2 well. He barrels the ball up and drives it to the gaps (exit velocity = 83 mph). On the mound, this RHP has a 4-pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. He works tall, has smooth separation and fires from a quick arm action. FB cracks the mitt at 81 mph as he work the inside part of the plate. CB has 11/5 shape with some good depth. SL shows some tight spin - 66-68 mph. Changeup is thrown with FB arm speed helping to create deception. Golden is a solid 2-way prospect who has upside as he enters his junior year.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
