11/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Gambrills, MD Hayden is an athletic SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Hayden shows quick footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and engages his lower half well. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, driving the ball from gap to gap. Overall, Hayden is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Hayden is an impressive young SS out of Sunbury, PA in the 2025 class. The athletic framed SS shows the ability to cover ground and has a solid back hand. Hayden works through the ball with his glove which allows him to easily transfer to a good throwing position. His positional awareness project him as a MIF at the next level and he has potential to stick at SS as he develops his arm strength. Offensively, he features some pull-side pop and he has a gap to gap approach with a repeatable swing. Hayden is in a very good spot as a Freshman and with 4 more seasons of HS baseball to develop he has the potential to grow into a very solid college prospect.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Hayden is an athletic/projectable SS who shines in a variety of ways on the diamond. At SS, Hayden showed off his arm with a 71 mph raw arm velocity, topping his past velos. Pair this with an athletic ready position, efficient feet, and an accurate arm. These tools will continue to develop and have him ready to compete at the next level. Not only did he impress in the IF, but Hayden also showed his pop off with a 72 mph exit velocity. His square stride, centered balance, and on-time rhythm would help him make consistent hard contact. This is where he shined the most, posting well above ratings in hit and power. Overall, Hayden is a solid SS with some tools that will continue to develop. We are excited to see where this game takes him in the future.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Hayden is an athletic SS prospect who showed well during the All-Region Tournament. In the field, Hayden shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a quick exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws consistently on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes his stride on time. He is fluid getting back into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent line drives. Overall, Hayden is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory's Fall Classic Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Hayden is a coachable MIF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Fall Classic at Pirate City. In the field, Hayden takes a good first step and is quick moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate through his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Hayden improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is controlled getting into a small load and remains centered in his lower half. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Hayden can improve as a hitter by working on his pitch recognition. Overall, Hayden is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

09/15/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Moosic (Scranton), PA Hayden is an athletic SS with solid skills. Defensively, Hayden has active feet, he covers ground, and fields low. He works through the backhand, his exchange is clean, and he throws with momentum and consistency across the diamond. At the plate, Hayden has an athletic/open stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, makes square contact, and can work the ball gap to gap. Hayden can continue to get better with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
