01/22/2017 - College PREP - Delray Beach, FL Henry is a lean OF and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 7.43. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and works through an aggressive approach. He shows strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. In the OF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He will benefit by working to get behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry but he needs to work on getting rid of the baseball quicker to improve arm grade. Henry has a ton of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
