12/17/2023 - National Showcase - Tomball (Houston), TX Henry is a C/3B who will graduate high school in 2029. Behind the dish he starts with a square stance and tracks balls well. Has a loud mitt as he works through the plate to second base. Secondary stance is low and square. Makes accurate and on-line throws to second base with momentum to his target. Does a good job of rolling his shoulders on his blocks. In the infield he has fluid footwork with the ability to make routine plays. He keeps his eyes behind his glove and has a low funnel. At the plate he hits from an athletic and square stance. Tracks pitches well and only offers at pitches in the strike zone. He hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 63mph during his round of BP. Henry continues to show improvement in all facets of his game.

11/02/2023 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition Henry continues to shine with his baseball abilities on the diamond. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls out front. Pop times showed in the 3.12 with on accuracy his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/07/2023 - National Showcase - Houston, TX Henry is a 3B/C prospect who will graduate in 2029. A young/developing player with some strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At 3B, he works to center the baseball and plays with good effort/energy. Works into a square fielding position with good glove actions and hands out front. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 59mph. Behind the dish, he has an easy sit and tracks pitches to mitt. Has an athletic and low secondary stance. Creates good blocking angles and tucks his chin. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Starts with an on-time stride and is centered at contact. Keeps bat flat in the zone for a long time and made consistent contact. During his round of BP, he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 59mph. With 6 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future at the high school level and beyond.

06/23/2023 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Henry is a 2029 C who showcased his skills during the BF Select Training at The College World Series. Behind the plate, he has an easy sit, with quiet actions, and presents a good target. Shows a high exchange with a short/quick arm stroke and an arm velocity up to 58mph with a best pop time of 2.97 seconds. At the plate he hits from an athletic and square stance with loose hands. He shows a simple approach with a repeatable swing. Makes consistent contact with ability to deliver the barrel. In live game action he made consistent contact with quality AB's. We look forward to seeing Henry at another event in the near future.

03/05/2023 - National Showcase - Tomball (Houston), TX Henry is a C/3B who will graduate in 2029. A young/developing player with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At C, he showed an easy sit and works his thumb under baseball. He has an athletic/low secondary stance and presents a good target. A clean transfer, with a short arm action, and a high 3/4 release point and arm velocity up to 58mph and a best pop time of 3.4 seconds. In the infield, he showed a good pre-pitch routine and ability to field out front. A 1-hand field in the alley, with a clean transfer, and ability to make routine plays. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base. A right-handed hitter, he starts with an athletic and even stance. Tracks balls well with ability to keep his hands inside the baseball. Hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 53mph. With 6 years of continued growth and development, Henry should make huge strides before he enters high school.

11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Fall Prospects Tournament (MS) Henry is a lean catcher who will graduate in 2029. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 3.83 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 7 years to further develop, Henry has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
