12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Hudson is a dedicated outfielder from Georgia in the 2028 class who made significant strides in his game at the Baseball Factory Pirate City camp. Defensively, he takes aggressive angles towards ground balls and presents his glove well, making accurate throws through his cutoff man. While his fundamentals are strong, improving his footwork on fly balls will help him become more consistent in the outfield. At the plate, Hudson starts with a square stance and uses a short glide step to get his lower half through the ball, making him a tough out in live game action. He hit a double, a single, and reached base on an error, demonstrating his ability to make solid contact. Hudson does a great job of utilizing the whole field and plays the game the right way. Hudson’s game will continue to evolve, and his potential is bound to shine through even more. Definitely a top 2028 player to watch.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
