09/18/2024 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2026) Hudson Nikkel, an outfielder who recently played at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic, displayed a strong and accurate arm defensively. While he showed a bit of hesitation at times when approaching the ball, building his confidence will help him field cleanly and reduce the chances of aggressive baserunners taking extra bases. At the plate, Nikkel demonstrated noticeable improvement as the tournament progressed. Developing a swing-first mentality will enhance his offensive approach; he sometimes delayed his decision to swing during at-bats. However, his potential is clear, as evidenced by a powerful fly ball he hit to center field. With continued development, Nikkel is poised for success in his future endeavors!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
