01/17/2025 - 2025 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Hunter continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Feet are active as he gains ground and works through a clean / transfer exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest pop time to date at 2.28. Throws display accuracy with times continuing to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a tall setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He utilizes his lower half well and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach, flashing gap-to-gap pop.

12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic (MS) Hunter is a catcher from University Place, Washington, who will graduate in 2029. He showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory West Coast Middle School Holiday Camp, demonstrating strong pitch tracking and a clean exchange behind the plate. His throws to second base have a best pop time of 2.3 seconds, with throws consistently on the bag. While he excels in these areas, Hunter will benefit from working on his receiving and blocking behind the plate. As a right-handed hitter, he starts with an open stance and loose hands, getting his lower half through and maintaining a flat barrel path. He shows good bat speed and plate discipline, reaching base on four walks during live game action. With four more years of continued growth and development, Hunter has a promising future ahead.

07/28/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Redmond, WA Hunter is a young and developing C/3B from University Place, WA. Has an athletic setup behind plate with quick feet. Tracks ball to mitt and has a quick exchange. Works with good direction to second base as he replaces his feet. He has a short arm stroke in back on his accurate throws to second base with a best pop time of 2.4 seconds and an arm velocity up to 72mph. At 3B he fields from a low fielding position with a low funnel. Throws from multiple arm slots and showed a quick release. He hits from an open stance with activated hands. Shows a fast barrel through hitting zone as he hit hard line drives to all fields. Hunter should improve in all phases of his game with continued growth and development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
