01/26/2014 - College PREP - Jacksonville, FL Hunter is a 6'/185 lbs junior catcher that ran a 6.89 sixty. Defensively, he sat easy, sticked pitches with sure hands and anticipated to block - gaining ground. He showed a quick release and had carry to his throws - sitting in the 2.1 range with his pop times. Offensively, he attacked the zone with a direct barrel and showed good rhythm. He stays through the ball with good extension and has good potential. Overall - Bramlett continues to show increases in his ability and will is a good prospect for the next level.

01/22/2012 - College PREP - Jacksonville, FL Hunter is an athletic catcher that will graduate in 2015. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 7.31 60 time. Feet are quick / active as he works in-line to his target through a clean / transfer exchange. Pop times show a range of 2.19-2.50 range with accuracy on his throws. He needs to speed up his release and improve arm strength to continue to lower pop times. Receiving / blocking skills show potential to be playable tools as he continues to improve. He displays a solid setup, soft hands, and gets his body down around balls in the dirt. At the plate, Bramlett shows a balanced approach and level swing path. Swing path gets long as he needs to work on keeping hands inside the ball to utilize all fields and improve hitting grades. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. With 3 years to further develop, Hunter has potential with the makings to be a solid collegiate player as he continues to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
