12/27/2017 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Hunter is a solid SS with a strong lower half and he has a bright future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a compact swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. In the MIF, he continues to shine as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Range will continue to increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. With 3 years to further develop, Hunter has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
