01/28/2024 - National Showcase - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Hunter is a talented 6ft 1/175 2B/RHP in the 2025 class. He recently worked out for the Factory and impressed scouts with his high level of play. Defensively, he shows agility and fluid feet (7.19 runner). Moves well to his glove and arm side and gains a low and athletic fielding position. Hands continue to impress with soft feel and his transfers are quick and clean. Arm is strong (84 velo) and loose from a high 3 qtr. slot. Throws are accurate and shows advanced feel around the bag. On the mound, he has a natural athletic feel and repeatable mechanics. His delivery is aggressive and his ball is in the zone. FB sat 83-5 and worked both sides of the plate. CB can be used as a chase pitch or get me over at 71 and 11-5 shape. His CH has tailing action and deception at 75. At the plate, he uses a tall stance to gain a squared stride. Gains a positive load phase and hits off a firm front side. Hands are fast (78 exit velo) and his path is directly to the ball. Contact is hard and he has the ability to use the whole field. Hunter is a solid 2025 to keep an eye on as he continues to impress scouts with his improvements.

07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Hunter is an athletic IF/RHP in the 2025 class. Defensively, he plays on the balls of his feet and his feet are quick. Gains a positive 1st step and plays under the baseball. Hands are sure and fields out in front. Redirects the baseball with clean actions and ball comes out his hand well. Arm is fast and plays at 84 with accuracy. On the mound, he has an aggressive mindset and battles. He refuses to give in and gets soft contact. FB pounds the zone at 80-83MPH with run. His CB had sharp break with 10-4 spin at 68. At the plate, he has a comfortable feel and gets into a proper load. Stays square to the dish and hands travel to the baseball with clean actions. Generates line drive action and can use the entire field. Overall, Hunter is a solid two-way prospect in the 2025 class.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
