01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Hunter continues to shine with baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the OF, he utilizes his aggressive feet as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground, utilizing his foot quickness. Throws are accurate with online zip (80 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight from the backside into a firm front side.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Hunter continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry (81 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Hunter continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

10/20/2019 - College PREP - Conroe (Houston), TX Hunter ran his best 60 to date at 7.03 seconds, increased velocity to 72 MPH, and increased exit velocity to 81 MPH during his last workout with The Factory. In the OF, Hunter has efficient feet, he is aggressive to the ball, and he fields squarely. He takes good routes, uses 2 hands to catch, and throws with momentum and a long arm action to his cut off man. OF skills can get better with quicker feet and added arm strength. At 2nd base, Hunter has active feet, firm hands, and he makes the routine plays. He uses 2 hands, his exchange is quick, and he throws with momentum to his target. Abilities in the INF can get better if Hunter can work on glove angle and throwing accuracy. At the plate, Hunter has an open stance, he loads well, and he swings aggressively. He has a direct barrel, makes square contact, and he hits line drives; working the middle of the field. More lower body and a looser front leg will help solid hitting spike.

12/15/2018 - Texas Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 14-18) Hunter is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard during his time at the Texas Skills Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and takes a controlled stride. He gets his hands activated on time and takes a short swing. He produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to consistent contact into the gaps. Adding strength can help Hunter improve as a hitter. Overall, Hunter is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further progress his skills at the plate.

11/25/2018 - College PREP - Pearland (Houston), TX Hunter is an OF prospect who will gradaute in 2022. In the field, Hunter shows active footwork and flashes good lateral range. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly. Hunter can improve defensively by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an atheltic stance and takes a short stride. He drives through well with his lower half and works to barrel up the baseball. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Hunter improve as a hitter. With four more years to develop, Hunter has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
