08/05/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Hunter showed on the mound and at 2B for the first time at the event. Feet are active and he works to square balls up showing clean hands. He moves well laterally, flashing range and communicates well in the MIF. For grade to continue to improve, he needs to attack balls, play through while presenting hands more out front and improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path, displaying an aggressive approach. Hitting grades will continue to improve as he learns to stay inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 75-79 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with sharp / late break and shows as a quality pitch at the next level. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with fading action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a hard worker and is very coachable.
