09/16/2012 - College PREP - Adrian (Detroit), MI Hunter is a two-way player that is a 3B/P. Right now Hunter projects best as an infielder with above average abilities. His arm action is loose with accurate throws and carry across the diamond. His hands are sure with a clean/quick exchange displaying fluid/active feet. Hunter shows the ability to use multiple arm angles depending on the play. He can continue to focus on presenting his glove a little bit earlier when preparing to field the ball. On the mound, arm action is free and easy with late arm side run to his fastball. His slider shows to be his best off speed pitch with a late 10/4 shape. Balance point is tall/controlled, separation on time, and his direction is in line with his target. Pitching grades will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more to drive off of the mound. At the plate, Hunger shows great balance and while staying aggressive. His bat speed is fast with the ability to drive the ball from gap-to-gap. His hitting grade will improve as he loosens his elbows and learns to use more lower half. With another year to develop, Hunter shows abilities with room for improvement to play at the next level.
