01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Idris is a 2024 3B/RHP who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All America event. In the infield, he has a good pre-pitch step and comfortable fielding position. He does a great job of centering the ball with a good glove angle. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good carry on his throws across the infield and a 85mph raw velo. The right-handed hitter has a square stance, short stride, and good center balance. He showed a good level bat path that was repeatable and produced consistent contact. In the game, Idris showed his some athleticism and speed which correlated in his athletic testing with his 6.83sec 60 dash and 9’9 broad. We foresee that with 2 years left to develop before college, Idris will continue to develop as an athlete and baseball player.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
