Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1B/LHPPosition Projection

01/13/2023 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (HS) Isaac Herron is a 2025 LHP/1B prospect. At first, Isaac can really pick it. He makes clean exchanges and gets momentum towards his targets to make accurate throws across the diamond. Range is a little limited but he can make plays right at him. At the dish, he has a squared, athletic stance with comfortable hands. His lower half does a good job of working through the ball and he gets good extension on his swing. He anticipates FB and his quick bat allows him to catch the ball out in front. Dead pull hitter that doesn't utilize all fields. On the mound, Isaac has good size and exhibits some feel for the position. Does a good job of getting in an athletic fielding position after delivery. Is able to repeat his delivery but could afford to use his lower half more. Overhand delivery with a 3-pitch mix including a cutter with gradual break.

09/25/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Poplarville, MS Isaac is a young, LHP who will graduate in 2025. On the mound, Isaac has a balanced delivery, on-time hand separation, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He keeps his eyes on target, lands with a square direction toward home, and tries to work down in the zone. If Isaac can continue to add arm strength, soften his landing, and continue to work on off-speed, mound effectiveness will improve. At the plate, Isaac has an open stance, good balance, and he repeats his swing well. He hits line drives, uses his lower body, and gets solid extension through the ball. If Isaac can keep a more still head, work on timing, and avoid pulling off, hitting numbers can spike.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
