07/18/2024 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC Isaac continues to impress with his baseball abilities on the diamond. Behind the dish, he shows a squared setup and presents a good target out front. He uses his body through the blocking process, working around balls to center out front. Pop times showed in 2.64 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range 55-61 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a high baseball IQ, and communicates well, showing good leadership qualities behind the plate.

06/02/2024 - National Showcase - Thousand Oaks, CA Isaac continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.50 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic, open setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 62 mph. Fastball showed a range of 61-62 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/14/2024 - National Showcase - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Isaac is a lean C/RHP who will graduate in 2029. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.60 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 72-74 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. as he continues to progress his game. With 4 years to further develop, Isaac has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
