Official Scouting Report

08/02/2021 - All-In Membership - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Isaiah is an OF prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build and room to add more strength. In the OF, attacks ball and showed ability to cover ground. Goes back on ball ok and tries to work behind/through the ball. Long/loose arm action working into a high 3/4 arm slot with accurate/on-line throws into infield at 79mph. Good effort and energy guy. A right-handed hitter, sets up with an athletic and open stance. Quiet actions enable him to track pitches well. Hits into a firm front side, with good balance to contact point, and swings with intent. Short barrel path, with extension through the baseball, and ability to hit balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity of 81mph during BP. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having opportunities to play at the next level.

06/07/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Birmingham, AL Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.06. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry on his throws. Arm strength will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (86 mph exit velocity) as he connects with power driving to all parts of the field with gap-to-gap pop. Isaiah has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
