11/03/2024 - National Showcase - Gambrills, MD Isaiah is a sophomore second baseman with a medium frame and athletic build who brings strong defensive skills and versatility to the field. He shows quick feet and good angles when fielding, with his eyes always behind the glove as he works from a low fielding position. His firm glove and active feet allow him to make clean, accurate throws, generating good carry on his balls to first base. As a switch hitter, he demonstrates solid mechanics from both sides of the plate. From the right side, he uses a flat barrel path, consistently driving the ball to all fields. From the left side, he hits into a firm front side and maintains a direct barrel path, resulting in hard line drives. With three years of continued growth and development, Isaiah has the potential to refine all phases of his game, making him a well-rounded player with a bright future ahead.

07/31/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Washington, DC Isaiah is an athletic 3B/RHP who will graduate in 2027. At 3B, he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, he shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 47 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 6 years to further develop, Isaiah has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
