01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jack showed as a prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At 1B, defensive abilities are outstanding as displays smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are soft, sure and presents out front. Feet / hands work well together as he plays through and gets rid of the baseball quickly. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick generating bat speed and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Jack has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

12/10/2023 - National Showcase - Gambrills, MD Jack continues to impress on the diamond with his baseball abilities. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Gambrills, MD Jack is a class of 2025 3B prospect. At 3B, he shows active feet and athletic actions. Ability to pick out hops as he fields from a square fielding position. Eyes behind glove, with good footwork, and has a low funnel. Throws from an over-the-top arm slot with a quick release and an arm velocity up to 81mph. He hits from an athletic and even stance. Does a good job of hitting off of his backside and has an explosive bat. A direct barrel path enables him to hit balls hard into both the gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph during BP. With another years of growth and development, we foresee Jack having opportunities to play at the next level.

10/01/2023 - National Showcase - Washington, DC Jack continues to shine with improvements in his baseball abilities. At 3B, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting potential has improved through a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

05/14/2023 - National Showcase - Bowie, MD Jack continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, defensive abilities are solid as he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more are strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

06/20/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (HS) Jack is a corner inf in the 2025 class. In the field, he is an exceptional target for his defenders and displays solid instincts. He gets square to the ball in his fieldling position and his exchanges are clean. He releases from a high ¾ release point and is accurate to his targets with a quick release. Working on speed and agility will increase range and footwork on both side of the diamond. As a hitter, he begins and a squared and relaxed set-up. He has a small and simple load and compact swing. Has advanced strike zone knowledge and will not chase out of the zone. Working to keep his hands higher will increase his hard-hit ratio on balls in play. Overall, Jack is a solid player and 3 years of working on his game, he can blossom into a fine college prospect.

03/20/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bowie, MD Jack is a 3B in the class of 2025 out of McLean, VA. Defensively, he displayed efficient footwork by getting in good positions to field the baseball. He presented his glove early to pick good hops and make clean exchanges. He fielded the ball well on the run and make accurate throws/feeds to his target. Offensively, he stands in the box with an athletic stance and loose hands. He loads well and drives his backside to a firm front side on the swing. He works a direct path to the ball while working a line drive approach. With three more years to develop, Jack has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

03/13/2021 - Spring Pro Training Experience - MD (MS) Jack is a coachable 3B/SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Spring Pro Training Experience. In the field, Jack shows efficient footwork and fields in a square position. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. Long tossing can help Jack build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets into a simple load and works through a smooth swing, producing solid line drives. Jack can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. With four more years to develop, Jack has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

02/27/2021 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend Jack is a 3B prospect who worked hard during the Mid-Atlantic Skills Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing and produces consistent contact and gap to gap power. Getting more extension through the ball can help Jack generate more pop off the barrel. With four more years to develop, Jack has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

08/23/2020 - Summer Pro Training Experience - MD (MS) Jack continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory's Fall Classic Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Jack continues to shine on the diamond. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays in the ball, utilizing all field through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

10/13/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Baltimore, MD Jack is a young, thin, 2-way player who catches and plays 3B. Behind the plate, Jack has active feet, soft hands, and he sits in low. He has good flexion, he uses his body well to block, and throws with accuracy from a loose arm action to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 3.4 seconds. At 3B, Jack has active feet, he covers ground, and makes plays. He has a soft glove, a clean exchange, and he throws with momentum across the diamond. At the plate, Jack has a square stance, a short stride, and he loads his hands well. He swings on plane and has some pull side pop in his bat. Solid overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
