Exclusive College Recruiting Program Jack is a quick twitch MIF prospect out of Nevada who will stick up the middle defensively at either SS or 2b and adds an offensive approach with versatility. Defensively, his 6.8 speed helps him with athleticism, but his first step and burst allow for his range to show the ability to stick as a MIF at the next level. He has rhythm and fluidity in his footwork with an internal clock to understand speed of ball and runner to record the out. With average arm strength that will continue to improve (84 MPH raw arm strength) and comfort throwing off different footwork patterns and arm slots the defensive tool is a carrying tool for Jack. Offensively, he has a compact swing which he is able to get into the zone early and stay through the baseball using a line drive path with a gap to gap approach and a variety of offensive tools. He taps into his athleticism to provide an offensive skill set that will lengthen a college lineup. His mid 80 mph exit velocity and offensive approach show current performance, but room to project improvement as he develops. A middle of the diamond profile with athleticism Jack is a strong college level prospect.

10/17/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Reno, NV Jack is a class of 2023 SS prospect. Shows off good athleticism with his speed. In the field, he shows fluid actions. Shows good footwork and fields through the baseball. Plays downhill and picks off hops. Has good pre-pitch actions. Creates momentum to throw and was up to 84 MPH across. At the plate, he shows athleticism and does a good job getting into his lower ½. Stays balanced throughout his swing. Has an on-plane swing and does a good job getting extension through the baseball. Works with a line drive approach and hit to all fields. Jack is a good prospect with a bright future ahead of himself.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jack is a coachable SS prospect who showed well during the Recruiting Classic. In the field, Jack shows efficient footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making strong throws across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid to load and works through a level swing. He displays plus barrel control and sprays the ball to all fields. Overall, Jack is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

11/01/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Reno, NV Jack is a RHH MIF that shows as a prospect on the diamond. At the plate, hands are quick as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range as indicated by his outstanding foot speed of 6.89. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip on his throws. With 3 years to further develop, Jack has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
