10/06/2021 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Jack continued to show off his skills at the AZ Fall Classic. Defensively, he wowed the coaches with his arm talent but also did a very good job blocking the baseball with proper mechanics and received the ball with soft hands. Offensively, he uses a simple set up with an explosive lower half to make hard consistent contact from gap to gap. Jack continues to impress the coaching staff of BF and with continual progression the sky is the limit for this young man.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jack is an absolute stud catching prospect who will graduate in 2024. During this event, he would show great defensive work behind the plate posting some of the highest ratings in his receiving that we saw at this event. We felt he looked very comfortable in his stance, smooth as he received the ball and quick/clean with his blocking footwork. With an impressive 88 mph raw velocity and quick exchange as he threw to 2nd, Jack posted a 2.14 pop time. This was one of the best times recorded at this event. Not only did he impress behind the dish, but Jack also showed his power off at the plate. His fast hands and centered approach helped Jack provide a consistent approach at the plate. Overall, we were extremely impressed with Jack. Keep your eye out for him in the future.

12/01/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Pensacola, FL Jack raised arm velocity to 78 MPH, exit velocity to 77 MPH, and he ran his best 60 to date at 7.44 seconds during his last workout with The Factory. Behind the plate, Jack has quick feet, athletic actions, and he presents his glove well. He sits in athletically, has clean actions, and throws with accuracy and a quick release to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.07 seconds. In the OF, Jack has good pre-pitch actions and active feet. He gets good reads, works behind the ball well, and throws with carry to his cut off man. Offensively, Jack has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and a smooth load. He has fast bat speed, a direct barrel, and he makes hard contact gap to gap. Jack is a nice player with a bright future.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Jack is an athletic and talented 2024 2-way prospect that was eager to learn and made several adjustments throughout the week at Vero Beach. In the OF, Jack is on time with his pre-step, he anticipates the ball off the bat, and plays through ground balls. He creates momentum in his lower half and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Jack starts in an open stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and stays balanced through contact. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball, get his front foot down on time, and create backside rotation. On the bump, Jack gathers over the rubber, he separates on time, and has a loose arm action. He has tail on his fastball and throws it down in the zone for strikes. He needs to continue to work north to south and keep a strong front side. Jack will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

02/04/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Mobile, AL Jack is a tall, 2-way player with a solid frame. At 3B, Jack has efficient footwork, he makes the routine plays, and fields in an athletic position. He has good pre-pitch actions, works the double plays well, and throws with consistency across the diamond. On the hill, Jack works in good tempo, he works to his balance point well, and has good direction toward the plate. Offensively, Jack has a square set-up, a proper load, and he swings aggressively. He has fast bat speed, a direct barrel to the ball, and makes consistent/level contact. Jack will get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
