08/04/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - Spokane Valley, WA - AM Jack is a young catcher with a solid, athletic frame that is well suited for his position. Feet are active in gaining ground and works in line to his target through the throwing process. Pop times show a range of 2.29-2.41, flashing carry on throws. He would still benefit by getting on a long toss program. He shows soft hands behind the plate through the receiving and blocking process but needs further development for tools to play at the next level. Offensively, Shannon takes a hack at the plate, making consistent contact with hands working inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power numbers will continue to increase as he learns to utilize his lower half more efficiently with proper weight transfer. With 2 years to further develop, Jack has abilities with time and room to improve.
