08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Jack is a coachable RHP/3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Jack makes the routine plays and shows a quick, clean exchange to throw. He has a quick release on his throws and keeps them accurate with good carry through his target. Jack can improve defensively by quickening his footwork. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes his stride on time. He shows a smooth rhythm and takes a direct swing, driving the ball into the gaps. Jack can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Jack comes to a balance point over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm action and stays inline towards the plate. Jack shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 79mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 62-64mph with 10-4 break. Jack can improve as a pitcher by extending through on his release. Overall, Jack is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.
