09/18/2024 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2026) Jack Weske is a LHP/1B who recently showcased his skills at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. On the mound, he clocked his fastball at 78 mph and effectively complemented it with a 63 mph curveball. He delivered a solid outing, allowing no runs and only one hit over three innings. While he may not be a power pitcher, Jack understands the importance of trusting his defense, which is a key quality for any successful pitcher. Defensively, Jack excels at first base, demonstrating impressive skills in picking throws in the dirt. To elevate his game further, focusing on lateral movement and foot speed will enhance his range. At the plate, the biggest opportunity for growth is in building strength. He occasionally struggles with velocity, which can lead to inconsistent bat speed, but this is easily addressable through weight training and consistent practice in the batting cage. With his potential and dedication, Jack is undoubtedly a quality ball player with a bright future ahead.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
