10/02/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Hightstown, NJ Jackson is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Jackson presents his hands out front and fields ground balls softly. He has a clean exchange to throw with a quick, loose arm action. He is consistently accurate with his throws and keeps them on-line to his target. At the plate, Jackson sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride to the ball. He has a solid feel for the barrel as he squares up balls and drives them into the gaps. On the mound, Jackson shows a fastball/changeup combo with his fastball ranging from 62-66mph with arm side run and his changeup sitting from 55-59mph. Overall abilities will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
