12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Jackson is a versatile right-handed pitcher and first baseman from Brownsville, PA, who will graduate in 2025. He recently worked on refining his skills at the Baseball Factory Pirate City Holiday Camp. At first base, Jackson presents a good target and shows excellent footwork around the base, consistently centering the baseball and using a low funnel. His glove presentation is solid, and he makes accurate throws to all bases, with an arm velocity reaching up to 85 mph. At the plate, Jackson displays good rhythm, quick hands, and a fast barrel through the hitting zone, with strong strike zone awareness. On the mound, he works downhill and has good extension on his fastball, using his projectable frame and long levers to his advantage. In live game action, Jackson recorded five strikeouts and threw over 70% of his pitches for strikes, showcasing his control and ability to attack hitters. Another season of development will help Jackson continue to refine his skills and reach his full potential.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
