10/04/2023 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic (2026) Jackson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Arizona SOPH Fall Classic. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes good first steps in reading balls off the bat. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 72 mph. Fastball showed a range of 70-72 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

05/21/2023 - National Showcase - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Jackson is a 2026 OF/RHP prospect with a strong frame at 6'1" 180 pounds. In the OF, he covers good ground with efficient feet after getting a good prep step. He does well to center the baseball and square himself off when fielding. His hands present out in front and he is also very aggressive to ground balls. He made some nice plays to the backhand side on fly balls and showed a ton of effort. His exchange is clean and he carries momentum online to his targets with his throws. At the plate, he starts in a tall, open stance and has a short, squared stride with a good load back. He keeps his balance centered throughout his swing and keeps his head quiet, tracking the ball well. He works the ball to the middle of the field and makes consistent contact. He works hard to get good extension through contact. Jackson is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see more of as he continues to develop his baseball abilities!

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jackson is a OF/RHP in the 2026 class. Scouts loved his energy, hustle and his in game engagement. They felt he was a hard-working player who never to a pitch off. In the field, he shows an impressive arm (82 velo) and his ball flight has life. Has athletic movements in the field and with more reps can become a solid defender. On the mound, he operates with a 3 pitch mix from a arm slot. His FB touched 70 and was in the zone. His CB had 10-4 shape and can been seen as a slider as well. His CH had deception at 63 with FB arm speed. At the plate, he has a strong feel and can swing with intent (81 exit velo). Has a comfortable look in the box and with work to his timing, he can be on the barrel more. Overall, Jackson is off to a very promising start to his career.

04/03/2022 - All-In Membership - Omaha, NE Jackson is a class of 2026 OF/RHP prospect. He features an athletic frame with room to grow as he matures. In the outfield, Jackson starts in a good athletic position helping him cover space. He does a good job creating angles to the baseball. Shows a good ability to get reads off the bat and takes good 1st steps to the baseball. Makes accurate throws into the infield. Could benefit greatly from a structured throwing program to increase arm velocity. At the plate, this right-handed hitter starts in a tall stance. Does a good job creating a consistent launch by having an on time stride combined with a good load. Shows an advanced approach with a middle of the field focus. Hits line drives to all parts of the field with help from his barrel staying on plane for an extended period of time. On the mound, he shows a good 3-pitch mix. Delivers all of his pitches from the same high arm slot. Does a good job working down the mound. Fastball consistently found the strike zone working up to 68 MPH while his breaking ball showed 10-4 shape. Jackson is a talented young prospect with multiple years left to continue his development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
