Our scouts had a chance to see Jackson again over in Troy, NY at Joe Bruno Stadium. At SS, he shows smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 57-59 mph. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink.

Jackson is a 3B/RHP who will graduate in 2027. At 3B, he shows smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active but needs to attack balls more and play through with his body. Hands are clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 58-59 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. With 4 years to further develop, Jackson has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Jackson is a C/SS who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At SS he starts with a good prep step and works to center the baseball. Works into a square fielding position with good glove actions and hands out front. Made throws to first base from a 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 59mph. Behind the dish he shows active footwork and works to keep ball in front of him. Has a loud mitt with a clean transfer and a loose arm stroke. Creates momentum on his throws to second base with a best pop time of 2.9 seconds. A switch-hitter he hits from a tall and open stance from the left side of the plate. Has a good bat angle at contact with ability to use the whole field. Made contact to all fields. From the right side he starts with an athletic and even stance. A simple setup to start and takes an aggressive swing. Keeps bat flat in the zone for a long time and made consistent contact. During his round of BP, he hit balls into both gaps. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Jackson having a bright future at the high school level and beyond.
01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament
Jackson is a 2027 2B who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. At 2B, he works to center the baseball with the ability to make routine plays. Made accurate throws to first base from a high 3/4 arm slot. At the plate, he sets up in an upright and even stance. Showed a smooth swing with good barrel control. A good rotation allows him to hit balls to all fields. During the games, Jackson showed good plate discipline and reached base multiple times. Overall, Jackson is a good player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.j

Jackson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, he shows smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls but needs to play through with his body. Hands are clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a switch hitter. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 54 mph. Fastball showed a range of 53-54 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup.

Jackson continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities. In the IF, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic, crouched setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Jackson as he starts up his 8th grade academic year.

Jackson is a 2027 2B/C out of Voorheesville, NY who had a great event at the Cape and continues to shine in his baseball abilities. At 2B, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he works hard and is very coachable.

Jackson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 3.20 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with a soft glove. He utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner and improve lateral movements. At 2B, feet are active as he works to center balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Jackson is a 2027 2B/C out of Voorheesville, NY. At 2B, he had efficient footwork by moving to get square to the baseball and reading hops off the bat. He made the routine plays consistently and had clean exchanges from the glove to his throwing hand. He made consistent throws/feeds to his target. At C, he presented a target while receiving and tracked the ball out of the hand to the pocket of his mitt well. On his throws he had good direction but could limit his steps to make his footwork more efficient when throwing down to 2B. As a hitter, he had a simple and repeatable swing by using an athletic set up with a short stride to find balance. He worked on plane with the pitch and found the barrel often while utilizing all fields. Jackson continues to progress his game and we look forward to seeing his improvements at the next event.

Jackson worked out in the OF and at 2nd base during his last workout with The Factory. In the OF, Jackson covers ground well through efficient footwork. He presents his glove well, he gets good reads off the bat, and throws with a short 3/4 arm slot to his cut off man. Continuing to quicken footwork and added reps will help OF skills improve. At 2B, Jackson has young/raw actions, he fields athletically, and his hands are soft. He fields squarely, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy from a loose arm action to his target. Added agility and playing lower will help INF skills get better. At the plate, Jackson has a crouched stance, good balance, and he loads his hands back well. He has some bat speed, a repeatable swing, and he uses some lower body. Hitting numbers can spike with work on timing, more lower body, and with sharper barrel accuracy.

Jackson is a talented 2B/RHP in the 2027 class. In the field, he plays with great energy. He attacks the baseball with strong glove presentation and works to his target. He can redirect the baseball with clean transfers and a strong arm (55 velo). On the mound, he locates his pitches well and stays directional to his target. Incorporates his lower half for a full finish. Working out of the stretch, he uses 3 pitches. His FB topped at 53, his SL sat 50-51 with 11/5 shape and his CH ranged 49-50. At the plate, he has a quiet head and solid barrel feel. Can generate power (65 exit velo) with using his strong legs. Proves to be a spray hitter with potential for power as his body develops. Jackson has a strong foundation to becoming a great player as he progresses through the game.
