08/01/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Myrtle Beach, SC Jacob showed excellent instincts on the bases, consistently making smart decisions and taking advantage of opportunities to advance. His bat-to-ball skills at the plate enabled him to make solid contact. On the mound, he displayed confidence, maintaining command and control throughout his outings, and effectively using his fastball, which had good run, to challenge hitters. His overall performance reflected a fundamentally sound player with a solid swing and quick hands, making him a well-rounded and impactful player on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
