08/01/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Dallas, TX Jacob made a strong impression at the event series as a left-handed hitting infielder and left-handed pitcher. His offensive output was notable, as he consistently put multiple balls in play and recorded several hits, showcasing an attractive swing from the left side. His speed and strong baseball instincts added to his effectiveness on the basepaths. Defensively, Jacob demonstrated athleticism with plus range and soft hands, coupled with impressive arm strength and accuracy in his throws. On the mound, his fastball ranged from 70-72 mph, while his breaking ball mirrored his arm speed and command, featuring vertical depth at 60-62 mph. As he continues to attack hitters and work ahead in the count, focusing on picking up his target will be essential for effectively pounding the zone. With his blend of offensive talent and pitching ability, Jacob is definitely a prospect to watch as he develops.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
