11/02/2014 - College PREP - Tampa, FL Jacob is a thin, lean, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Jacob has efficient footwork, soft hands, and good body control to the ball. He gains momentum toward his target, can throw from multiple arm slots, and throws with accuracy to his target. An earlier glove, quicker exchange, and added arm strength will help defense improve. On the hill, Jacob has a loose arm action, on-time separation, and good front side lead. He has easy actions, lands with a proper stride, and competes in the zone. If Jacob can improve his velocity, finish in a better position, and avoid falling off, mound effectiveness will get better. At the plate, Jacob tracks the ball well, he has an activated load, and good balance. He has a level swing path, and centers the ball up well. Hitting can spike with a shorter stroke, more direct hands to the ball, and improved timing.
