01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jake isa talented SS in the 2024 class. In the field, his feet work well and covers his defensive area well. Runs well at 6.90 and actions are athletic. Tracks ball in well and his exchanges are clean. Uses short arm action with a high ¾ release. Feeds have life with 85 velo and to the bag. At the plate, he begins in a squared stance and uses a short stride. Timing is fluid and stays inside his feet well. Has plus bat speed (89 exit velo) and path is level. Proves to be a future power type hitter. Overall, Jake is a must follow in the 2024 class.

11/13/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Jake is a talented SS in the 2024 class. In the field, he has active feet (7.03 runner). Creates agile movements and fields in an athletic position. He works through the baseball well and attacks with controlled aggression. Arm plays at 85 velo and is accurate across the diamond. Shows feel by using multiple arm angles based upon his defensive zone. Working to be sure on his feeds and turns will improve his double play actions. In the box, he has explosive hands (90 exit velo). He uses the middle of the field and is always on the barrel. Shows line drive production to both gaps. Overall, Jake has a projectable body at 6ft 180 and a very high ceiling.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
