11/08/2012 - Baseball Factory Training & Competition at Pirate City In Jake's latest Factory event, he proved to be a hard worker with the willingness to improve. Defensively in the OF, he has active feet, takes good routes/angles and gets rid of the ball well. He has a long arm action with some carry and follows through on his throws. He needs to try and develop a looser arm action and try and eliminate drifting to fly balls. Getting more reps will allow him to increase the efficiency of his jumps and will continue improving his already sound routes/angles. Offensively, he has good hand rhythm, good head control, and he generates good bat speed, letting the ball travel into the zone. He is late with his front foot, exposes his front knee and gets in and out of the strike zone. Overall, Jake is a hard worker that listens and pays attention to detail and should have a solid Senior year.
