06/19/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Charleston, WV Jake is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2023. Defensively at SS, he takes active routes and works into a square fielding position on GB's. He has a clean exchange, plays through the ball and fires throws accurately to his target. On the mound, this righty gathers over the rubber with a 3-pitch mix. He separates on time, delivers from a lo 3/4 arm slot and works in line towards home plate. With the bat, Jake shows an athletic setup. He swings on a short path through the zone and drives pitches on a line to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
