08/04/2010 - Pirate City World Series 2010 - Session 1 Tuttle continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.43 runner. He did show defensively at 1B displaying solid footwork and a reliable glove. Offensively, hitting grades and power have improved through a solid setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He uses all fields, keeping hands inside and through the baseball at contact. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 79-82 with running action on a slight downhill plane. Breaking ball is best off speed pitch, displaying sharp break. Jake is a gamer that shows a solid mound presence as he attacks hitters, throwing strikes with all his pitches, changing speeds well.
