10/15/2023 - National Showcase - Austin, TX Jamison is a 1B/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2027. Medium frame lean build with strength present. Jamison continues to show improvement in all facets of his game. Made big jumps in his foot speed, his arm velocity, and his bat exit velocity. At 1B he starts with active/efficient feet and works to center the baseball. Does a good job of keeping his eyes behind his glove as he tracks baseballs in. Made on-line throws to all bases. Showed good footwork around bag with ability to scoop baseballs. On the mound he repeats his delivery and keeps his eyes on his target. Has a competitive attitude with a desire to be coached hard. Throws a FB that sits 68-69mph with some sinking action, a 2/8 shaped breaking ball, and a developing cutter with some sinking action. FB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate he hits from an athletic and open stance. Shows good barrel control as he hit balls where they were pitched. A good hip turn enables him to hit baseballs to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph during BP. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Jamison making huge strides.

02/05/2023 - National Showcase - Georgetown, TX Jamison is a 1B/LHP prospect who will graduate high school in 2027. A young/developing player who has plenty of room to add more strength throughout. At 1B, he works to center the baseball and pick out hops. Showed soft hands with a clean transfer and a long arm stroke. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with on-line throws and an arm velocity up to 71mph. Showed good feel at first base. On the mound, he works with good direction and is balanced at release. Has clean actions with ability to repeat to his delivery. Throws a FB that sits 65-69mph with tailing action, a 2/8 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup. FB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he starts with a crouched and closed stance. Showed ability to track ball to barrel with good plate discipline. A compact barrel path enables him to hit balls to all fields consistently with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph during his round of BP. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Jamison making huge strides on the baseball diamond.

11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Fall Prospects Tournament (MS) Jamison continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 66 mph. Fastball showed a range of 64-66 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

07/17/2022 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (MS) Jamison is a 1B/LHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Pro Select Training. In the field, Jamison shows active footwork and move well to his glove side. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws and keeps them consistent to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, spraying line drives to all fields. On the mound, Jamison works with a clean/quick arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph. Breaking ball sits from 58-59mph with 9-3 break. Changeup sits from 52-55mph. Overall, Jamison is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/30/2022 - All-In Membership - Liberty Hill, TX Jamison is a 1B/LHP in the class of 2027. At the plate, he showed an approach with a middle of the field focus. Did a good job of keeping his load and stride quiet and consistent throughout his round of BP. Could benefit by adding more lower 1/2 into his swing to help get the barrel through the zone. In the field, he showed good pre-pitch actions to help him set his feet up to work downhill. Showed good feel for the glove and consistently made the routine plays. Showed good effort throughout his defensive workout and was very coachable. On the mound, he worked with a quick tempo. Delivered pitches from a good arm slot. Showed feel and the ability to throw strikes with both his fastball and his breaking ball. Fastball was his best pitch and was up to 57 MPH. Jamison is a young player with many years left before graduation. In that time we hope to see him continue to develop his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
